Tomlinson Bomberger is a highly-respected lawn care, landscaping, tree, and pest control company in Lancaster County, PA. However, their website did not match the company’s standard of excellence. The website was slow, difficult to navigate, and was not mobile friendly, leading to poor customer experience and lost customers.

In 2017, Tomlinson Bomberger partnered with YDOP to build a new custom website. The new website was designed from the ground up to focus on increased usability, highlight the large amount of services and deep expertise of the Tomlinson Bomberger team, and give special attention to the immensely popular articles their team was publishing. Launched in 2018, the new website elevated Tomlinson Bomberger’s digital marketing presence the level they expect from their lawn care & landscaping services.

In 2019, their new lawn care website was recognized for two web design awards from the Horizon Interactive Awards – Gold Award in Professional Services & Silver Award in Responsive/Mobile Design.

Lawn Care Company Invests in Right Channel, Gains Leads

A local lawn care service provider was trying to determine where to spend their advertising dollars. For a few years, they were investing significant resources into Bing Ads because of that platform’s affordability, yet they were not satisfied with the results – only a few leads per month.

YDOP recommended moving their advertising budget to Google Ads. While it was more expensive, our data suggested it would provide a better return on their investment. ...

A local lawn care service provider was trying to determine where to spend their advertising dollars. For a few years, they were investing significant resources into Bing Ads because of that platform’s affordability, yet they were not satisfied with the results – only a few leads per month.

YDOP recommended moving their advertising budget to Google Ads. While it was more expensive, our data suggested it would provide a better return on their investment.

In the first spring season on Google’s ad platform, this company saw just under 1,000 leads come from their digital campaign. Moreover, the campaign was affordable: average cost per conversion of $20 and a conversion rate of over 23%. The campaign was so successful, the client asked us to turn off the ads because they were not able to keep up with demand!
